EVO 6 Power FC or Ecu flash?

Hi,

I have a jdm evo 6, with an evo 9 turbo, 320lph fuel pump.individual coils, bigger intercooler and piping, with some electronics and minor supporting mods.

The car is not really tuned, i just loaded a ceddy mods tune for evo 6 with ecu flash, i enabled launch control. and made sure mi fuel and timing maps where identical to the tune that mines offer for this car.

with this set up i ran 12.94 with a 1.72 60 foot...on vp103 race fuel @ 25 psi. i far as i see other peoples numbers, i think my ET should be lower,

i live in a small island in the caribbean. there is no one here with tuning experience on eve's, but i have a tuner coming from aruba that will tune for me in some days.

i have a power FC D-jetro that uses map sensor instead of maf, that i did not install, i nearly see anyone online using power FC's and was wondering what would be the best ting for me to do...

I will be upgrading to 1000cc injectors, fuel rail and FPR soon, i will do BC Cams, with new dual springs, retainers, seat and seals. but don't know if i should use 272 or 280..(please advise) i'm also going to upgrade the turbo to a 25g, (and Next year a FP Red)

considering my current and future setup, what would you recommend to do about the ECU? and what should i do about the cams. i would like to run low 11's

your advise would be highly appreciated.

kevin.

I had a power fc for about a year and a half. took about 2 hours to tune to perfection. that was one of the best tunes the car had. wish I hadnt of sold it. doesnt have any knock control. but is likely the easiest to tune ecu out there. (with tuning software)

I took a power fc off an Evo 6.

It hid 12.9 with no cams, stock intercooler, stock fuel injectors.

All it had was down pipe, exhaust and a tune.

Just get an Evo 8 Ecu on speed density.

Also stay away from BC Camshaft do either Tomei 270, GSSC S2, GSC S2R, Kelford 272 or Cosworth M2.

Guys in the USA prob dont use Tomei much but amazing camshaft for smaller turbo.

Ceddy mods for sure based on the choices given. Ceddy mods is the best option for your ECU.

Also as the above poster said, BC cams are really mild. Go with GSC S2 or S1 if you want to keep the valvetrain stock.
