Evo IX MR- Bolt-ons tuned on 93

The car made 325 awhp / 345 awtq

I know with E85, I should be near 400awtq on this dyno with 27-28 psi.
Only reason holding me back on E85 is limited locations where I live.



Full boost at 3K RPM + 25 psi

FP4R cams
PnP head
65MM ported TB
PnP Intake Manifold
3" full back
255 Walbro
3" downpipe
AMS FMI
Grimspeed 3 port MBC

The block is all stock and stock exhaust manifold. I was thinking of a longer tube to shift the powerband up a little and make full boost around 4K RPM. What do some of you guys think? I'm looking for BBK full as my next upgrade since it has the powerband i would like for DD.

They are good DD cams- they make tq. Everyone seems to be selling these cams.

Boost 24-25.

Dyno results look quite odd for sure, IX's don't get full boost at 3000 rpms.

Trying to get simular ppl's dyno graphs on stock turbo and cams but seems like it's almost by word of mouth since most people have moved on with this chassis, out of the game, or just done modifing. I tried to look for graphs but it's so hard... most are like 4-5 years ago.

I was looking at this thread but it is dyno jet numbers so a little higher than MD.

Huh? There are tons of dyno's here with stock turbo and cams.

Here's a good plot from English Racing but on E85, which should have the potential for faster spool. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ce-evo-ix.html

Look up some CBRD dynos for mustang results, but the results shouldn't be too far off as far as spool goes since most dynojets are done in 4th.

To be honest your power seems low for your mods. With cams and an O2 dump on a IX I would expect 350+whp. Might want to do a boost leak test.

I regularly see IX's with full bolt-ons and no cams make 360-370whp at ER dyno days and that is on a dynojet and 92 octane.

Yeah I keep a spreadsheet with a lot of numbers relating set-up details and your numbers look right where they should be for 93 Oct on a Mustang Dyno
