My friend has his evo set up to run e85, he empties his pump gas out of the tank through the return line, fills it with e85, flips it to a different tune and goes.


I'm wondering if it is possible to have a setup where you have your primary fuel system and tank with pump gas, and then a secondary fuel system with e85, as in a fuel cell in the trunk, an extra pump, lines ect. and some way to introduce it into the engine maybe with specialized injectors or a secondary set of injectors all together like a portfueler setup. So you can change your tune and run race gas on the fly...without swapping fuels out of your factory tank in your garage.


I know this is a case of cost vs gain, and cost wins on a stock turbo and cam setup(which I have), but maybe if you had those things too it WOULD pack a worthwhile punch. I guess all you would be paying for is the convenience to not have to swap out fuels every time.


Just couldn't find any info on it and i'm sure i'm not the first person to think of it. Can't wait to hear some peoples opinions. lol

 

Seems overly complicated and expensive. Your best bet would be to pick up a AEM V2 or Infinity ECU and use their flex fuel feature.
