update

had a blast at import face off at route 66 in Joliet. nothing has changed with my setup except running a 26'' hoosier drag radial. rev limit still set to 8k and 2 step at 6200. never hit the rev limit going through the beams and was trapping 124 - 126. managed a best of 11.1 @ 124 with a 1.6 60ft shifting at 7800.
my question is: could I run faster if I was shifting pass 8k? I would like to hear some advice with those running a similar setup as me on stock block. thanks

I think you'll be ok keeping shifts where you're at. Better off getting into 4th gear than riding out the other gears. Get your 60' down and you'll be 10s no problem

Congrats! that's booking and banging some gears. What was your launch RPM set at, and how much boost was it making?

Thanks! Launch rpm is set at 6200. It's hard to tell by looking at the log, but I think it's boosting around 7-10psi on 2 step.

Yup still shifted at 7800. The prior runs the other week at 11.1 the weather was pretty humid, I'm sure that had something to do with my time. This past weekend the weather was great, cool and dry. Plus I took out a good amount of weight. First pass of the day was a 10.9 and backed that up with 3 more passes at 10.8

Thanks! Suspension wise; the car has tein flex coilovers, drag alignment and corner balanced. The suspension is definitely to stiff, the rear doesn't squat very much hurting my 60ft I believe. I need to swap them out for D2's.
