Peder 528whp Evo IX 92 octane

Peder brought us a stock block 2.0L IX with a Sheepey forward facing kit and 6262 on it feeding all ETS parts. This combo and some Fuel Injector Clinic 1120s worked well -

During the tune the intake cam sensor decided to take a break. It is interesting exactly how much the MIVEC was helping this combo when all of the sudden it was gone -

Nice numbers! Is that turbo the size of a GTX3586?

Its somewhere between an old 35R and a 6266. Not as good as an HTA3586 though.

I'll definitely be back to see you guys again Aaron! Hopefully for some e85 and built motor action! Thanks for all the advice. You know so much **** about these cars, it's like you designed the 4G63 yourself lol. You can count on seeing me at Shift-S3ctor in McMinnville in August

Yes definitely larger than the FP Black and not a stock appearing style turbo. The 6262 has made 750+whp on numerous cars.

Glad that we were able to make the dream all come together and do what it is supposed to. If you can make the 1/2 Mile Shift Sector event in McMinnville you will not be disappointed. It never fails to impress.

I'm somewhat new to the evo scene so please excuse my ignorance- but it's possible/safe to push 500+whp on a stock block evo on pump gas?

You can do that or more, horsepower is not the limiting factor as it is a function of torque. In the case of the stock 2.0L the mean average for torque limit is about 400 ft lbs. This allows for well over 600whp depending on where the torque is made. My personal Evo IX made 574/399 on a stock motor for quite some time without any issue.

Interesting. I am assuming you were still running some Mivec advance at hig rpm, seeing that the curves don't overlay on top of each other. I would have thought Any advance at that rpm would hurt rather than help.

Its set to -1.2* past 6k. It seems that anytime you have changes down low they tend to carry. It doesnt make sense necessarily but its how it seems to flow. In this case my theory is the time difference to make the power equates to heat build up versus the working MIVEC pull is faster overall.
