Crown tuned LR2.4 Evo 9 HTA3586
This build has been about 5 months in the making. Back in May I spun a bearing in my previously "built" motor which led me to start this 2.4LR build. My good friend and tuner, Clinton (CROWN) helped me build it and put her all back together. I couldn't have done it without his help
One of these days I'll get around to putting up a build thread but for now i'll leave you with the important aspects.
The car literally went from this 2 weeks earlier,

To this, the finished product

Obligatory engine stand ****

Ok, now on to the build specs. Hopefully I don't forget anything and if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.
Short block was assembled and machined by Larry Altman @Harvey's automotive and machine shop in Norwalk, Iowa and includes:
Oem 4g64 crankshaft polished
Manley Turbo Tuff 156mm rods
Wiseco 10.5 CR HD2 Pistons
Acl Bearings
Headgames Street Head
GSC IN/EX valves standard sized
Kiggly Race springs and retainers
Kiggly HLA
GSC R2 Camshafts
Self modifed mivec gear following Aaron @ER instructions
AEM adjustable EX gear
Cometic Head gasket
ARP l19's
Curt Brown extreme port intake manifold
STM phenolic spacer
Full Blown 70mm throttle body
ETS 3.5" UICP
Buschur street FMIC
JDL Licp
JDL FF Hot Parts Ceramic coated
Forced Performance HTA3586
ETS 3.5" Down pipe back exhaust
Buschur Double pumper
Fuel lab AFPR
FIC 2150cc injectors
Grimmspeed 3 port
TRE Transfer case. Non acd, oem lsd
Oem evo 9 transmission with oem 4.11 Final drive
Exedy triple disc clutch
At roughly 25 break in miles we set out tuning. Temp outside was about 50 degrees and the car felt amazing! We were both afraid of the head gasket issues that 4g64's are plauged with so clinton kept timing and boost pretty conservative.
Here is the final result as of right now.

I couldn't be any happier with the car. Off boost response and driveablity is awesome. Clinton really did a great job with everything.
Here she is with only 79k miles on the body and a whopping 140 miles on the new power train.

Yeah, unfortunately things took a little longer than planned at the machine shop and getting the transmission finished. You better believe every sunny/non raining day we get, I will be driving this!
Great stuff! Folks, this car is so clean. The detail in the engine bay obvious from the pics, but what you may miss is the really cool, easily overlooked things like how well packaged/clearanced everything is and nice touches like the push-lock vacuum lines, OEM battery post and super-sanitary condition of virtually everything. Reminds me of another white evo I saw in the vicinity.
Glad you got the car together so quickly from where I saw it just a few weeks ago and with excellent results!!
CROWN TUNING, FTW!

Nice results! That is a great looking FF kit as well. I still want to sell my JDL standard placement hot parts so i can go forward facing.
By the way, i noticed in your sig, how long did your stock motor last at 500wtq?

Lasted a solid 6-7 months with constant abuse. The tq hit higher in the upper rpm and wasn't so drastic as say a stock turbo.
