The walbro 255 is a piece of crap. Everyone use to reccomend it because it was a simple install but there are alot better pumps out there now. For e85 most people are running the walbro 450. If not using e85 the aeromotive stealth pump is the way to go it out flows the 255 by alot like 40% under boost.

450 doesn't outflow the 255 on stock power wiring. The Aeromotive doesnt outflow the 255 either. I have experience with all three on stock wiring. Most people actually run the 255.

I have purchased many walbros they top out at about 450-500 max the stealth 340 will do 780 the 255 falls on its face underboost. Keep buying the ****ty pumps then come on here and tell everyone how your right and we should trust your word eh? :P If your running base pressure of 38.5 and 30 psi of boost 68.5 psi at the regulator your 255 drops off the cliff and is less than 200 output. Have a nice day.

Ignoring the truth doesn't change it So i posted the data proving the 340 outflows your little 255 and yet your still arguing. Do a google search for 255 vs 340 if you still think I'm the one who's wrong. Why would you buy a pump that tops out at 500 when you can buy one for the same money that will do 780? Insanity is the only thing I can come up with.

Two things: 1.) i have a Evo, two in fact, and you have a 3G eclipse so..... 2.) lots of people's cars are faster than mine...in a straight line. I race on a road course where hp doesn't really matter as much as you probably think. All about driver skill. Highway pulls, street racing, roll racing, or drag racing really isn't my thing.

The 255 is a perfectly acceptable, and reliable pump. If you need more fuel, you can step up to the walbro 450. Or a dual 255 setup. The AEM pumps are not reliable.

Also, a 255 with the reload valve punched flows better than that chart.

First, nobody said a 255 flows more. We're saying they aren't junk like you claim.
Using your logic, Evos are pieces of crap because they have less power than a Lamborghini. An FP green is crap because it makes less power than a red.
Show me a fuel pump that is plug-and-play, same price as a 255, flows more, and is reliable. Not that most of us need any more flow, which is why we run them.

To call a pump crap just because it's not right for you makes no sense.

Yes but that only affects over 75 psi and its not gaining 30% I agree the 450 is a good pump especially for e85. I still have a 255 in my 2g gsx and I can hear it outside the car if the fuel level is low. So far the Stealth pump is awesome I have about 5k miles on it if it craps out I'll be the first to let you guys know but so far its been a great alternative to the trying to tune 2 fuel pumps.
