Nice car think I have seen you out and about. I saw a evo similar to yours on the 41 heading to Tampa. Have to let me know if you know of any meets in the area I just moved out to Tampa from California and should have my evo out in the next 5 months or so. ( shop back in California is tearing down motor and making sure everything sat well in storage for the past 2 years with small runs around the block every week lol )

Be safe and hope to see you around sir

Its been pretty simple. Let the oil warm up and then beat on it. I look the car over about once a month for leaks, belts noises. Every three-four months I change the oil ( Rotella T6 5-40 for street duty) and put it on the lift and go over everything. Suspension, hoses, boost leak test, fuel pressure and a dyno check up . I've got a flashed ACD so I change the Tcase fluid every 5 K or after 1 track day. The rear diff is every 15K.

Aside from the clutch wearing with the taller final drive and abuse, its had minimal things done since it was put together. I think at this horsepower level and with a stand alone these cars can live a long time on a good tune up. I've kept it around 600whp /485 wtq for most of this engines life and its been happy with it. I think with a larger turbocharger and less back pressure that 700/500wtq would be fine also for the entire drivetrain.

What kind of input for fail safe is wired into your engine management?

I am starting to lose count how many times I have read through this thread Probably the perfect evo!

I saw the post about why you went to the M130, but I guess I am still having difficulty understanding what the benefits would necessarily be.

And is the reason why you only rev to 8200ish rpm is because of the R/S ratio?

8200 rev limit because the turbo is done by then. Torque and power falling off due to back pressure. No reason to rev higher.

Okay that makes sense. Was not sure if it made a huge difference. Thanks.

The 153 rod/94 crank can rev to 9500 with the appropriate breathing apparatus, like if he were to fully port the head, switch to S3's cams, do an intake manifold, and strap a turbo kit with a 6466 on it..
