Another 600whp+ stock block evo 8 6266 /w STM hot parts kit E85
Just finished up another 600WHP+ stock block. Just this month alone I've done about 7-8 stock block evo all over 550WHP+.
This car lives at 850ft+ elevation, so power doesn't come easy.
This customer chose a dual map, but using the same fuel. One is high boost, one is low boost.
Low boost tune final numbers were: 540whp 385wtq @ 26-27psi
High boost tune final numbers were: 607whp 419wtq @ 32psi
A great deal of torque control is required to keep your stock engine alive at this power level. The rods must see the power come in late and smooth in order to remain happy and straight and in one piece.
Mods are:
2004 Evo 8 SSL /w 109K miles
6266 w/ Standard placement STM manifold
ID 2000 injectors
Kelford 280 cams
ETS 4" FMIC
SD 4" intake
Grimmspeed 3 port
Tial 50mm BOV
Rewired 450lph fuel pump
Fuelab AFPR
-6 feed line
Tephra v7 speed density /w ecuboost
Graph below: (consists of two people in car - Graph shows various levels of boost)

Little update, a few friends and I went to the track yesterday before it closed up for the winter. My goals were to run 10s. I achieved that pretty easily surprisingly, I was able to run 10.98 at 130mph on 26psi. Decided to give the 32psi map a try, wound up running 10.44 at 136mph. Couldn't be happier with the car and tune from Tom.
