Evo 8 - Stock Block - BW SX200 - GSC S3 - E70
First time ever tuning a SX200, so figured it may be of benefit to share.
This turbos supposed to be inbetween a Red & Black to put its size into
perspective. Borg warner rates it at 580hp, and it seems like their ratings
are pretty spot on for the most part.
Mods on this car are:
Stock block
Borg warner SX200
GSC S3 cams
TSComptuned Double pumper
FIC 2150cc inj
3" TBE
Grimmspeed 3port
2.5" upper piping /w Tial Q BOV
Tephra v7 Speed density /w ecuboost
As seen from below the turbo is pretty responsive. I had to do a lot to keep the torque down so you see a very interesting boost curve.

Its a ~56mm inducer turbo so I don't think its too bad factoring that in. You need to compare this to a GT(X)30 for reference. Considering that 62mm turbos are also making mid 500's at 28 - 30 psi on stock blocks.
@Tom, would you know if this is the newer SX-E 10-blade billet version (S257 SX-E) or the older normal "S200" ?

Its a ~56mm inducer turbo so I don't think its too bad factoring that in. You need to compare this to a GT(X)30 for reference. Considering that 62mm turbos are also making mid 500's at 28 - 30 psi on stock blocks.

Yes I was referencing what psi the larger 62mm turbos run to make similar numbers as a comparison.
What I will add is that BW rates that S257 SX-E at 65 lb/min but it doesn't appear like there is much room for more power on this setup. The S200 exhaust wheel is probably reaching its peak flow capability before the compressor wheel.

Seems like BW is starting to follow the Garrett GTX marketing mould of pairing very high flowing compressor wheels with great advertised flow rates to existing turbine wheel configurations that reach their choke limit before the compressor wheel does.
I have a sense that the S369 SX-E will be a similar case

All good, always good to debate points when discussing technical topics and get different frame of references. Good numbers on your 5858 setup.

Also, more efficient compressor wheels actually reduce the work required from the turbine, so any way you slice it it's a win. Garrett has done some goofy things, don't get me wrong, but they have a few gems in the lineup.

Absolutely false information. EFR wheels have totally different blade angles and don't flow as well as the SX-E turbines. EFR wheels are cupped more for better response.
