Thanks for sharing! What was the temperature on the day of the tune?

awhit17 Oct 11, 2016 03:42 AM

It was between 75 and 80 degrees when the car was on the dyno iirc

Were you limiting torque to below 400 or was it just not capable of more?

Limiting torque, my car is a stock block and stock 6 speed trans. This was also on pump gas.

Was the pull done in 3rd or 4th gear?

It was 4th gear with a 30% load on the dyno.

LetsGetThisDone Oct 11, 2016 01:08 PM

Idk what 30% load means...lol. Curious to see a boost plot in 3rd, on the street.

awhit17 Oct 11, 2016 04:49 PM

If I ever make a street log I'll post it up. Butt dyno says it feels the same as my 71hta at low rpm, but more power and a lot smoother.

You typically see much faster spool in 4th vs 3rd. That's why I'm asking.

I'm aware.

a VD log with boost in 3rd would be nice for comparison to the EFR kits we are building and other turbos... but, great build and nice results... enjoy.

awhit17 Oct 13, 2016 10:00 AM

We're going to be putting the car back on the dyno in a couple weeks to finish up the tune (now with fully functioning fuel pump) so I will be sure to have some pulls done in 3rd for you.

Why the switch to this setup from the 71hta? Doesn't appear to be that big of a difference?

Not degrading.... Just came across this as I am currently researching the 71hta upgrade.

This setup is better than a 71hta in every way, except cost.
