No i wouldnt compare buddy. I was trying to have a general opinion thats it.

As an OEM manufacturer Garrett (and BW) has considerably more resources than a smaller turbo company, and the ability to test and develop their products to a very high standard. That said, some of Garrett's wheel combos are much better than others.

Thanks awhite17 - I am looking into FP and BW turbos for one of my evos. Considering your and my evo 8 has very similar specs i now have a benchmark to look forward to.

Update!! We got the tune finished today. Weather was 68 degrees, pulls were done in 3rd gear. Boost was a flat 25psi. I am very happy.

I have been waiting for this uodate for almost 6 months!!! Solid numbers!!! Was the torque limited due to stock,block?

Yes, this turbo is great when it comes to spool/threshhold. We limited torque and softened the torque hit. We had it coming on a little earlier with no knock, but since the car loads up different on the road we backed it down a little more.

Definetly going to be saving all pennies for this turbo now. I wonder how much power and tq ill make on a Buschur built block. I will be reaching out to you once I get everything squared away

I think this thing will cap out at around 550whp on E85. It will make a ****load of torque, that I can tell you.

No, I plan for this to always be stock block and pump gas.

Could have easily/safely made more torque. Looks fun though.

I just realized ur battery is relocated. I'm going to hope I can get similar set up with out relocating my battery

Between the stock block and stock 6 speed, this is where I felt best keeping the torque

You would just need a different UICP than me. Would work just fine.

insanely nice turbo graph if you ask me. spools as fast as stock evo 9 turbo. makes 100 more HP. whats not to like??

These results are still on stock IM/TB too? Any head work? Very solid results. I would've believed these numbers for pump gas even if you had a fully built shortblock and heads with procams. {thumbup}
