JDM MR HeADLight install question.

OK i have a 03 evo 8 GSR. I purchased the MR headlight housings from gruppe-s
link below. My stock fog lights will not go into the new MR housing. the plastic around the bulb that twists in is totaly different.and just hangs there loose. the HID bulb and the high beams work fine. can i buy a different bulb ? if so anyone got a part number ? car is in shop at the moment so trying to help them out.

thanks
ryan

If I remember right it is H11 bulb and adapter! My car is being built right now, so I can't look for you. Do a search, there has to be something on evom. that can help you.

quick question tho.... im unsure by the pic that a harness is the answer. does the harness actually change the plastic peace around the fog light ? so it fits into the houseing ?

No you have to cut that OEM harness and use the new harness. The bulbs in the JDM and US Spec are different, requiring a new harness for the bulb.

You need to get a pair of 9006 bulbs, and the connectors to fit them.
You could have gotten the connectors from Gruppe-S, also Lancershop, Z1auto, and others sell them.

You need a 9006 harness and bulb to make your fog lights functional. It is an easy DIY, cut, splice the two wires from the 9006 harness and connect it to your existing fog harness, insulate it then your all set. The HID ballast and bulbs are direct swap. Goodluck!
