Grounding a head unit?

Hi,
Was wondering if it would be disastourous to tap the ground for my head unit into the ecu plug ground. If so then where would be the best place to ground it. I used to not have to ground my old head unit cause the antenna acted as the ground but my current one has a seperate ground cable and if I just use the antenna then I get a WHOLE LOT of engine noise. Thanks.

Ive tried that and I am still getting that noise so I am thinking I need a much stronger ground. Thats why I was thinking about the ECU ground. Thanks

Well, first we need to know what you have in the car that is causing the engine noise...

Like a 4-chanel amp or something..

From the limited information that you provided it sounds like you have a ground loop problem...

Let me know what you have installed and then I can diagnose it from there
