New Audio Stuff w/ pics Updated pics

So when I decided to go up to Deals Gap and then I remembered I have that low rent stock radio and there is no way I can stand that long of a drive with it so I got some upgrades. Pioneer DEH-P980BT and Sirius S50 (already had) so tell me what you think.

I used an S50 Home dock cause I didn't want that long arm thing in this car I have to finish up little base thing I made cover it with something not sure what yet. Also, any of you guys with sirius that want a super small ant. get the xm mirco2 unit it works the same actually picks up really well. It works in my garage with no terrestial signal around cause I live in a rural area.

Here you go. I love the way the bluetooth works I have a Sony Ericsson w810i phone w/ Cingular and phone book and everything works great. I haven't used it while driving yet but just sitting in the garage everyone hears me just fine.

antenna works perfect there as I have had my gps and xm antenna mounted there for 3 years.....

S50 looks alright, but is that a wood base they used? I would have at least carpeted or fiberglassed it and painted it the same color as the dash...also looks like it could sit down lower...

It will sit down lower once I finish it and I am going to cover it to match the dash I was just test fitting the thing. I went that route cause I love my s50 but hate the friggin car mount so I went with the home mount to try something different. It is all completely reversible in a few secs so if I don't like out it comes. The antenna works great so far. I am in a rural area so I get no terrestial signal only sat. but I still get reception in my garage with the door shut. I will post pics of the sat mount when I finish it.

Looks good and I like where you mounted the antenna as well. Just for another idea on where to mount the mic, I put mine behind the little vent looking thing next to the hvac controls. I ran it behind the dash and wrapped the mic in double-sided tape so it would stick securely in the square plastic box behind the little vent. It's perfectly hidden and works great. Just an idea for anyone needing to install a mic. I didn't want it out in the open and this was the best I could come up with.

I was looking for just that kinda of spot for the mic I will probably move it now because I don't want it in the open either kinda big and chessy looking. Pioneer has been using that same mic for years with navi and such.

It's the only mounting location for a RS or MR. I did mine two weeks ago after walking around the car for about 30 minutes. Looks clean & it's inside of the cabin.

Nice HU BTW
