I'm not 100% sure, but about 90+ that they are 6.5 front and back, but you need some kind of a spacer...

Most 6.5" woofers fit the doors. Use crutchfield's website to find out what fits. I have 6.5" Alpine SPX-177A in the doors and they fit perfectly. I have the 137A, which are 5.25", in the rear custom fitted. I'm sure the 6.5" will fit the rear but i haven't tested.

oh...because i want to instal some 6.5 MA audio here are the specs
6.5” Bi-Ampable Component System
100W RMS Power Handling
200W Peak Power handling
Bi-Ampable Crossover (Dual Amplifier Inputs)
Balanced 12dB Crossover
2-Layer High Temp Kapton Voice Coil
10oz. Strontium Magnet for Optimum Performance
PEI Titanium Tweeter
Mica Cone for Clean Sound Reproduction
4 Ohm Impedance
Sensitivity: 90.6dB @ 1w/1m
Frequency Response: 30 Hz - 25 kHz
Mounting Depth: 3”

so i wanted to know if the depth of the door would fit these...since its a 3in mounting dept...and at 100rms for interiro voices...it will b loud enough to keep up with the bass setup i have going.....btw since u took out the stock speakers...do u know the watts/rms of the stock speakers?

3" is pretty deep, but will most likely fit if you use any kind of mounting ring. I have Alpine SPX-177R 6.5" seperates in the front, and the woofer has a 2.8" mounting depth. I used speaker adapter rings with a base-ring of dynamat on the door hole, then the adapter-ring, then a dynamat ring between the adapter-ring and the speaker. No problems rubbing on the glass when down, and the face clears the door panel grill. Had I not used the dnamat-adapter sandwitch, the magnet would have rubbed on the glass when down in my case.

hmmm where did you get the dynamat rings.....and it seems they are needed for a 3in mounting dept then........for ur set up..did you use your inside spekers with bass or like me ....im just using my interior spekers for voices only no bass at all....i have x-over/eQ for tuning the system....and all equipment is competition specs...after i finish the set up i will post up the specs of my gear.....but oh..and do you remember what the watts said on the stock speakers? it should have said on the back of the magnet

I just cut them out of a roll of dynamat I used for the install. I cut both front and rear dynamat rings so they would cover a few inches around the speaker to dampen the vibrations. I then used the adapter rings of top of that, then I used a ring of dynamat around underneath the speaker frame mounting flange. If you do it like that, you should be able to fit the 3" depth speakers, but it will be close imho. Just make sure to test the depth with the window down to be sure it all clears.

Yeah, I don't expect too much bass from the fronts, but they are taking a 71hz 12db slope crossover without poping at high volumes, so I'm fairly happy. I disabled the crossovers in the amps, and am using the active crossovers in my Alpine PXA-H701 processor, which is working out fantastic. It makes tuning very easy since I can adjust all crossover settings from the the touchscreen. I'm not trying to do a competition setup here, but a very good SQ setup that has what I consider an ideal balance between sound, weight, and current draw. I did not want another "suck your electrical system dry and kill your alternator in a week" setups.

The stock speakers are 15w RMS at 4 ohms.

Post your system list up when you can. It's always good to see what goodies other people have chosen.

man for 15w rms at 4 ohms they handle nicely....yeah i have a touchscreen also....not too good with tuning but thats why i went out and got external x-over and Eq.....question i had was....the adaptor rings should come with the speakers...or did u end up getting others? and i will test the window down for clearance and fitment.
you mentioned you had a "drain set up" before....how are you now? are u using caps? what did you do to fix the problem...i have when my lights surge like a mF. ...another member on here talked about addint the fuses on ur amps...interior/sub amps and then adding 50 more cause u need 50 amps to make the car run...and then you have the amount of amps for the alternator to run perfect.....but i asked him why not use a secondary battery...imo Optima Yellow top...880 amps thats plenty. a friend of mine had the alternator dead but the battery still started up his car and ran perfectly.....did you use caps?

How much mounting depth do we exactly have in the front doors of our evo's? The speaker's im looking at are around 2.5" and I want to know if they'll fit without rings and adapters and what not.

That should physically fit without rings or adapters, but the screws holes for the speakers won't line up most likely. However, even if the holes all lined up without adapter rings, you don't want to just mout speakers in the door metal to metal. It'll sound like crap. You'd do well to use something in between that will help isolate the speaker vribrations from transfering into the door steel panel too much. It'll fit better, and sound better. There is simply no downside that I can think of, but this is Evom, and if I said water is wet, we'd have ten zillion "experts" come out of the woodwork to claim otherwise. heheh

i have a zapco 1000.4 bridged to my stock front components...650 rms a side

If everything you have is "competition specs", you can do alot better than MA audio..IMO..
