SO Right!! If you get tempted to street race please keep a helmet in the car and at least put it on and don't listen to anybody if they give you sh** about it. It is your life and if you have other people in the car then let them out of the car or just take it easy.

I would have to agree with you here. I have driven/road tuned several of our customers caged cars and always find my head a bit close for comfort. If I were to get in any accident outside of a fender bender my head would undoubtably take quite a hit.

My DD will have to have a 10 point cage in it for a period of time because the NHRA mandates it for the et's I'll be running. At least the chute detaches

as for padding sfi approved feels like a rock to the bare head (FSAE parking lot asshattery!!) and soft padding does nothing for absorbing impact. SAE safety lecture pics have shown this.
