SSL amp send full signal to rear spkrs?

I need to permanently remove my SSL OEM sub (trunk cage for the track). I love listening to music right before I head out on the track to get me pumped up, and want to add back just a bit of the bass I lose w/o the sub.
I thought the Polk db 6500 coaxials in the rear deck would be efficient and possibly reach a little lower than stock and be punchier as well ?? Anything better in a simple coaxial (nothing too heavy)?
Also, is disconnecting the sub and then just running stock wires to the rear speakers going to get me full signal and power from the amp to the new speakers?
Thanks very much for any help

I believe the answer is yes; I don't think the SSL amp cuts off the bass to the rear speakers. Try this to see: Unplug the sub connector (on top of the enclosure, it's easily accessible) and use the head unit to fade the sound to the rear speakers. Pump up the head unit bass control and see if they have full bass (relatively speaking); I bet they do.

Also, I'm no engineer, but I think that unplugging the sub would likely free up your SSL amp's power supply to send more current to the regular speakers, including the rears.

A bit unsettled corresponding with somone whose screen name is Rod Munch , but thanks for the help They do seem like they get full signal, so I ordered up some Polk db675s. I'm confident they will produce a bit lower or at least cleaner/punchier bass.

Update: The SSL system with the factory sub removed and the Polk db675s in the rear deck sounds better in almost all ways.
The deepest frequencies are clearly gone (and missed if you enjoy the deep thump), but it reaches much lower than I had anticipated.
The funny thing is the front stock speakers really came alive at increased volume (must be the amp not being overworked by the sub). The Polks sounds pretty good as well, but aren't as efficient as the stockers (easily balanced by adding 2 to the rear fade).
The sound will not please the audiophile but will serve my purpose more than adequately.
