Head unit with SD slot help - Any our thre?

Hello guys, I dont want to buy an ipod... and I have a good amount of SD cards... is there a HU that takes SD cards or even a USB port in the front that I can connet one of those USB readers?

Im not trying to be cheap, but think how convinient it would be to just pop in a 4GB SD card into your HU and have it sync with your music managemt software.

my Eclipse deck CD 5444 has one......very cool setup. Just plug in the card with all your music and off you go.......change it anytime you want or have multiple sd cards with your mixes on there!

Here is a brand new model Sony that I was looking at earlier today when I recieved a new issue of Crutchfield in the mail. I have used Sony headunits in the past and they sound great, I would highly recommend this headunit if your looking for a USB port. Here it is http://www.crutchfield.com/S-h0lctz8...0&I=158GT610UI

Hope this helps

The only one that has a memory stick that is worth the money, is the Eclipse.

No. The brand, Eclipse, does not make a reciever with a USB port. The one I suggested above is a Sony.
There are 4 big companys that make the recievers with USB ports: JVC, Kenwood, Clarion, and Sony. Dual and Blaupunkt make USB recievers but I have no experience with either of those brands.
Lastly, I will leave you with some choices. It all depends on which other features you want the reciever to have (i.e. number of outputs, output voltage, equallizer, etc).

....and once again, the Sony

Good luck in picking a headunit and as I said, it all depends on which other features you want and what you plan on doing with the rest of your system. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I just picked up Eclipse CD5000 and according to the manual you can only use upto 125mb and it can't be 'stick PRO'. They're still in the cave when it comes to memory sizes.

Can someone validate this? Where can you even find such small memory chip thse days?

These are not your major manufacturers but what you asked for no less. I was looking all over the net trying to find one and this is what I found. I don't have one yet. Trying to wait for someone local to carry an SD equipped head unit to play with it.
