I'll agree that the looks of the V1 are dated (at best) but i like that it feels sturdy and in my opinion the arrows and the ability to tell you how many bogeys are present is enuff to overlook the ugliness The arrows not only tell ya from where u are gettin hit but also help you tell whats an actual threat and what isnt.

Actually, the Valentine One can pick up laser from almost 11,000 feet away (2 miles away) in the right conditions (straight road, no hills, no fog, no rain, etc.) even though cops aren't supposed to ticket you with laser past 1000 feet according to a New Jersey court.

You should never run 2 detectors at one time because they interfere with each other.

I've tried both, no doubt the V1, much better POP system, and early warning....

I recently upgraded from the x50 to the v1. Once you get used to the rotary volume control and the arrows, there is no going back.

I've been using el cheapo Whistlers from Best Buy for years and have been wanting to step up to a V1, but the cost and (somewhat the looks) have kept me from doing it.

It seems as if my Whistlers have never let me down, they just might not go off as strong when a cop is nearby, but the warning seems to have been soon enough everytime. I'm just wondering how big an improvement a V1 can actually be, or will it just mean the thing is going off all the time, detecting cops two counties over.
