A Puzzle, 56k need not apply.

What do you get when you cross:
A 3' piece of aluminum

A rotary tool

A drill

?

A custom bracket obviously....

And what does that bracket connect to?

XM reciever!

Antenna placement

The unit in hardwired to the ciggarette lighter power and ground source using splice taps and the wiring is fairly hidden. The antenna wire runs under the weather stripping next to the windshield, under the fender and through the grommet in front of the door. Questions or comments are appreciated.

Nice. Are you going to finish the aluminum in some way or leave it bare?

nothing personal, but not real crazy about it. did the xm antenna just in front of the factory antenna, and imo looks much better than next to the front window.
find a way to custom mount the display, or go with a newer headunit with the hideaway xm/sirius modules. cleaner.

Anodizing it black I think is def the way to go. The silver sticks out too much IMO.

I don't find that it does. Nice and close so its easy to change channels while driving. The bracket is adjustable at 2 joints as well so I have move it around a bit.

You should just mount the antena to the center of your dash board. That is where I had mine and never had a problem.
