Yellow Fog Lights
Has anyone tried these out?

I've been trying to look for some "selective yellow" bulbs, not just plain yellow coated/tinted bulbs. The yellow painted/coated bulbs seem like they can block out light output whereas the selective yellow dichroic filters channel yellow light straight ahead and difuses blue light to the sides. You can see the difference in the glass of the bulbs themselves, the selective yellow ones are more clear with yellow and blue iridescent hues. Selective yellow bulbs don't give off quite as yellow light as yellow painted/tinted bulbs, but I would think the light output would be better and it gives off a cool blue iridescent hue at the cut-offs that the later doesn't.
I have some Osram All Weather bulbs (they are selective yellow) on my S13 auxilary lights and I'd be dead without them, considering how bad the H4 headlights perform by themselves. I bought them from a UK retailer online a few years back, but it seems that the glass that they primarily used for these were cadmium and have been found to be carcinogenic...so, they're banned now
. Anyhow, here's some crappy pics I just snapped in my garage:
