Question Radio on, but no sound.

It sounds very odd, but just recently Michigan has seen some really cold weather. Since then, on the very cold mornings, sometimes my radio doesnt produce any sound. It lights up, I can switch channels or even from FM to CD, but nothing comes out. After driving for a couple minutes, it will all of a sudden start working. Its not like there is a short in the system or anything, because it doesnt go in and out. I am really stumped at this one. Any advice?

it might just be the cold cause alot of electrical things don't work in excesivly cold temperatures. At the office my mom works at one of the computers wouldn't turn on one morning and they couldn;t figure out why but after the office warmed up the computer worked fine. It has done that everytime its been really cold during the night

Is the entire audio system still stock or have you replaced some components, my car was doing the same thing but was shorting itself.

In normal conditions when a system has a ad speaker with a frozen coil in a speaker it will ground itself out causing the all sound from the radio to stop. usually when disconnecting the bad speaker all will play again. It is possible that a speaker is frozen and causing the same issue.
