I tried to be pimp like EVO Dave
Well... there are hundreds of posts on how tos and write ups about the black housing process for headlights and tailights. After some research I figured I would give it a go and give my headlights and taillights the JDM treatment. The headlights were easy to do and look perfect. The tailights however were a mistake. I completed the process but with imperfections. Anyways my question is what is everyone using to seal their taillights? I used Black silicon the first time, but the weather ate away it. I then re-sealed them with a strong apoxy but it doesnt look promising neither. Does anyone know of a specific brand rather then just saying they sealed it silicon or glue? Hats off to Evo Dave, his jobs on tailights look very clean
. If anyone has any Evo 9 tails I would consider getting them off u since my taillights might no survive any much longer.
Silicone is a great way to go but you have to make sure that the inside of the lights are VERY dry when you seal them. If there is any moisture in them when you seal them up, weather changes will cause condensation on the inside and make your hard work look like poop. Even sealing them up on a day with high humidity could make for problems... I kid you not.
