update on your alarm systems.. i need to buy one
LoJack is worthless. You have to know and report your car stolen before the emitter is activated over the pager network. The emitter is short range and most likely the car is already long gone or in pieces and in the case of an Evo it's definitely been beaten to death. The big problem with LoJack is the amount of receivers that can receive the emitter signal. There are very few out there and many of them no longer work. THe ones that still work are only on the road for a single shift anyway so you have an 8 hour window at best for a town to locate your car. My entire county had 2 working LoJack receivers as of 2 years ago. Ask LoJack for statistics on the number of receivers out there and their maintenance program...
Sorry my friend, you're mistaken:
Also, LoJack is not DEFINITELY going to recover your car quickly or at all... your car will emit a beacon and police cruisers within a mile or so will be able to see it... that's all...
Plus if someone had your Evo for 24 hours, do you really want it back? Bye bye seats, wheels, engine, ignition, exhaust, stereo, shifter, hood, wing...
I'd rather spend the money on a good alarm plus immobilizer and not have the car stolen in the first place... if someone successfully steals my car after all that, then I'm sure I don't want it back
In my opinion, LoJack is for cars that are irreplaceable... surely an Evo is not one of a kind,
