Amping Stock Infinity Sub

Is there a way to make the sub actually louder/produce more bass without changing the amp or is changing the amp the only option that i have?

The sub is the limiting factor. It has only so much output potential and more power will not change that. THe reason the stock ampis small is because that is all the sub needs.

i might be wrong but i believe the amp controls the rear speakers as well as the woofer,(sub in SSL).

WOW again today. I am surprise with what people write sometimes. Factory infinity amp controls FRONT, REAR SPEAKERS AND SUB IN TRUNK. Thank you. You want more bass replace headunit with something that has SW rca output, add second amp for bass, reinforce factory sub box, replace subwoofer.

Stock amp is under driver seat.

I thought about powering the sub with another amp, but why even bother. They aren't going to oer build the speaker for any extra headroom , its going to be matched pretty much to the factory amp. I'm not even sure what its ohm rating is.

I thought the Infinity Subs in the SSL are rated at 300 watt. Isn't that pretty loud? If you do upgrade the sub, I say go with JL Audio. Get the subs with dual voice coil.

Stock Infinity will be something around 40W per speaker + maybe 100W on sub. You can try to replace subwoofer or stuff some polyfil inside and see how it works. Infinity sub is fine for speakers but you can add second amp just for sub. Also headunit is very important so replace it with something wit 3 pre outs (seperate sub control) will be a good idea too.
