Hella FF50 foglights on a IX

Is there anyone in here that has installed these foglight in their IX bumper, in the 2 holes below the FMIC ?

http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell.../FF50/FF50.jsp

I think that would look nice when they fit....

Those holes are crucial for cooling the piping leading into the FMIC. That's part of the reason why an IX bumper > VIII bumper.

I won't say they are "crucial", but yes they are there for a reason but by theory if your intercooler is doing its job the little amount that those holes cool is puney.

Not sure why you need 2 sets of road lights.

Not mine. Fogs are not available in Europe.

I just moved back from Europe. I lived there for the last 2 years. They ARE available. In fact, most countries in Europe REQUIRE fog lights, along with a red rear fog light.

In fact, in this picture taken from your website, you can even see the OEM fog lamp switch (I assume) right next to the headlamp height adjustment knob:

I would say that you'll be better off trying to find someone in the US who is flat-out selling their Evo 9 lamps that have fog lights built in (Evo 9 SE or Evo 9 MR in the United States) so that you have the same light pattern in your car. If you were to buy JDM or UKDM headlamps, your light pattern would be different since they are right-hand-drive cars and yours is left-hand-drive like ours in the US. You'll probably not be able to find anyone that will ship their headlights first in a straight-trade because most of the people on here daily drive their cars just like you.

I would stay away from aftermarket lamps that are in their own enclosures, though. You're better off with using the OEM housings.
