how do you bring down voltage on pioneer z1 installation

i have read that i should be at 12v, but i am at 14.6 right now. i think this is why i have constant buzz and i hear a click or a pop every time i turn my engine off.

how do i bring down the voltage? does it have anything to do with the mounting?
i spliced the rca cables, is this why i have a constant buzz and clicks and pops?

someone please tell me how i can get rid of this sound.

Do you have any DC-AC power converters? Transformers are very noisy.

Also , check that your radio power wires are not running near any fast switching, high voltage/high current devices like injector wires, coil wires, etc.

I'm sure its not the 14.2 volts that's causing the problem, more likely noise is getting into your system somehow -bad connections?

is the gray fuse/noise filter still on the yellow power wire? it could also be a bad ground.

Or the fact that you spliced RCA'a .. Why would yo udo that? Couldnt spare the $15 max in the correct cables and connectors?

LOL...

12v in car electronics pretty much means somewhere around 14.4 volts

In fact the amp will sound worse at 12 volts than at 14v.

The buzzing is either a ground loop or something else, you do not want to lower the voltage.
