Is my alarm toast?

My car used to be lowered way too low. The front left tire eventually scraped through the fender guard plastic and then scraped the alarm siren wires all together. Note that these were the wires betwen the alarm brain in the interior to siren in the engine bay.

This caused the wires to touch eachother and sparks were flying then smoke. I disconnected the battery and then seperated the alarm wires.

I can still unlock/lock and turbo timer my car with the alarm remote. But the siren and alarm dont activate. Even if I'm hitting my own car. The alarm wont go off, theres no siren or alert from the 2-way pager remote.

So is my alarm system now bunk? I think it short-circuit when the wires were all unshethed and crossed together when the sparks & smokes incident happened.

That seems like a neglagent install to me. You need to have the brain and wiring diagnossed by a pro.
