Any good decks that light up red?
Any good decks that light up red?
I put in a search for just "red" and barely came up with two pages of results and half of those were for grabbing the red wire...
So I am looking to upgrade my gs-r (non-ssl) head unit but I don't want a crazy amount of colored lights in my interior. I keep looking through alpines and clarion etc and they all light up green or blue. Is there anything decent out there that can somewhat match my evo's interior?

I just installed the Alpine 9885, and it gives you the option of selecting the buttons a blue face or all red. The display is a Bio-lite white and VERY readable in bright conditions. Has the iPod connection (with proper cable) video input, HD radio and either of the Sattelite radio options. I would rate it a 10 out of 10!! A little pricey, but worth it. Oh yeah, the faceplate is a glossy graphite color that matches out interiors perfectly!

My Eclipse CD7000 allows you to choose. Amber, Red, Green, Blue and some combinations of those colors, pretty sweet. That clarion is also a sweet deck, I am going to hook Navi into my Eclipse which is what swayed me away from the Clarion. Great stuff though!
KenWood does. The buttons anyway. The display is a mellow blue. I know I really like mine.

Some of the older Alpine (when they were still good) units, particularly the CDA-9835, had the option of changing the four "chiclet" style buttons to pretty much anything you want. 512 colors, exactly, so I guarantee there's one that matches the Evo's interior. Same white Biolite display as previously mentioned, but higher resolution I believe. The newer Biolites don't look as good, imo. You can also change the preset buttons color from green to amber. And, I just so happen to have one for sale . . .
Edit: The 9835 was the last non DVD/video/F#1 deck to include 4V preouts.

The more I look the more I see under features that almost every face has a range of colors it can light up, anyone have pics of that clarion unit lit up at night? I'm ocd about things looking oem in my car.

I just installed an Alpine 9883 head unit, it was cheaper than the 9885 and the only difference i could find was that some buttons on the 9883 are blue and some red, and with the 9885 you can make them all red if you want. And there may have been a prevolt output difference but i don't care about that since i'm not going to get an amp.
