EVERY alarm requires a vehicle specific bypass module if the car requires it.

I have found the PKU-MIT to work well, but it takes three hands to program.

As already stated, the bypass modules are only needed on cars with "chips" in the key. However, trucks like the Colorado don't use bypass modules...All needed is a few resistors and relays and no bypass... In any event, they are all add on modules made by DEI and don't come with the alarm. You are usually looking about $30 on average for the bypass module depending on which one it is
