Yeah, I'll definitely review it. I was playing with it at the car stereo store today and the ipod integration is awesome. Very, very easy. And, I went to four car stereo shops today and ALL of them recommended the clarion for sound quality and ipod integration...over the Pioneer, Eclipse and Kenwood units. And those were the two most important things to me. So, wish me luck. I'll post pics and a review when I get done (a couple weeks though since I gotta travel for work this week).
Sorry to resurrect this from the dead, but I'm in the same boat. My picks so far:
Pioneer AVIC-Z2
Eclipse 6610/5510 (anyone know the difference between these two?)
And the two dark horses:
Alpine IVA-W205
Panasonic CNNVD905U
The Pioneer/Eclipse are established in NAV, but the W205's blackbird docking/integration intrigues me... also anyone know about the new Panasonic unit? It's a lot cheaper than all the others...

Oh, I just answered my own question. I think the difference between the 6610/5510 is that the 6610 had two DVD drives, and the 5510 only has one CD and one DVD drive.
What does having two DVD drives give you? Can the 6610 read mp3's off DVDs?

The two DVD drives would allow you to have navigation and play a DVD at the same time. So, you could technically watch a movie and listen to the navi instructions at the same time. But, who would really do that? Unless there is something else different between the two, seems like the 5510 makes more sense. My $.02.
id go Eclipse, preferably the AVN 6600 or 6610.. Company has been around a lot longer than most companies have been. They Specialize in car audio ONLY, they dont have their hands on everything like computers tvs microwaves etc.. Higher voltage preamp outputs,5v to be exact, compared to everyone elses 3 and 4v, which will come down to a lower signal to noise ration and in the long run offer you a cleaner signal, multiple output and inputs, full audio controls, and the Navigation is just rediculously easy to use.. the Nav is stored in memory so yo udont have to shove all those extra boxes behind the dash, and it has a double slot which will allow you to do your nav and listen to cds or mp3 at the same time
the avn 5500 would be an excelent choice as well

who the gps provider for eclipse? or what kind of maps do they use?
the kenwood uses Garmin who uses Navtec maps. pioneer uses teleatlas maps who, by common consensus, is behind in the latest information. if you search the net, you will find that most people agree Navtec > Teleatlas. but unless you dont care about outdated POIs or gas stations that dont exist anymore, then get the better sounding one
