The Right Speakers
Well i've been through about 4 different setups with my evo. I've had the alpine type R's, The Pioneer Preimer Kevlar's, Beymah M6's. The alpine's just weren't loud enough for me so i then switched the the Pioneer's and they were not doing it for me with the mid bass so then i bought a subwoofer and amp. The sub and amp weighed way to much for my liking so i took those out. Then i decided to try out the Beymah's Incredibley loud speakers just no mid bass. Today i decided to stop by my stereo shop and i was talked into these speakers by 02 (Oxygen Audio) So i picked up 4 speakers and 2 tweeters wich i have hooked up to a 480 watt Soundstream 4 channel amp. I have not been happier with the way it sounds. It can get more then loud enough for anyone's ears and they have to be the most crisp speakers i've ever heard. I recomend these to anyone who is looking to change out there speakers.
were you amping your speakers to begin with? cause if not, thats your problem right there. those speakers require so much power the r's i know are 60rms, im not sure about the others. if you were pushing them off stock radio, it puts maybe 8 watts rms, and even if you have an aftermarket radio, the most they usually put out is 22 watts rms. its better to over power a speaker then underpower it. if you want power and loud. thats what amps are for.
I've been into car audio for awhile. Never heard of O2. Anybody else? When looking them up, it kinda looked like flea market stuff, but if they sound good . . . whatever. There's new audio brands everyday, it's getting hard to keep up.

02's are a fairly new company they are deff not flea market stuff. I had head unit and amp on all the setups. with the 02's they are 100 rms and i'm pushing about that to them and they are incredible.
Never heard of them either. But I love hearing new stuff.

It's actually setup on my kitchen counter right now. Awaiting installation. I'm hoping to put it in this week sometime though. I'm thinking of drilling a hole in each of the 4 corners of the pass through (if the seats were to fold down), drilling a hole in the plastic/carpeted cover, and running zip ties through it. I seem to be having trouble finding long enough metal screws, plus i think it'll be more secure with the zips. Either than or getting a piece of wood cut, but I really don't want to hassle with that. I'll take pics when I finally get it up. I'm almost at the point where I'm about to pay somebody to finish everything though, I'm so busy now that classes have started for the summer. I've got my crossovers put in, wiring run, I just need the speakers installed and the amp mounted and tuned and I'll be done, but I still have to do all the work behind the radio for the amp wiring too. If I don't get it done myself this week or next I'll probably say f it and take it somewhere.
