check JL's website...they have a dealer locator tool that would tell you if any car stereo stores are near you...you can also find JLs all over the internet and eBay...they just aren't authorized dealers. If that matters to you...

I bought one from ebay w/o a warranty and luckily haven't needed it over the last few years. JL makes great subs/amps for sure.

Great sub... but I recommend the 10" W3 over the 8" W7.

JDM, Why is that? Weight? Or space recommendations?

Did you have any luck finding these? What type of set up are you planning to run? How many subs, what amp, etc?

I have found several places that have them. I have a 12 W7 now with a 1000/1 powering it. I still havent decided what i want to do. The sub and amp combo i have now is too much for me.

With a smaller amp and the 8", you should be fine.

To the un-trained ear, the 10w3 would sound as if it out performs the 8w7 for far less money, but those who have had a W7 including myself are not easily coaxed into investing in anything else. And even though they are old, there is still a wow factor bestowed on others. Its like having an Evo, STi, M1/3/5/6, RS4/6, Amg. Pretty much the "best" of a company's product.
