Jensen VM9412 Brake Bypass Method

We are in need of the bypass for the brake for the new Jensen models.

This code is brand new and the old code which you put in 543210 in fm mode and in the setup screen does not work on these new units.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks fellow installers!

im not for sure of a code you enter. But if this is a brand new model you can use a universal trigger output module. Peripheral makes one its a ptr-7. Or PAC parts makes one too thats the same thing but the model number is just a tr7 i believe. they are around 30-40 bucks

Im not sure on the model, but does it list in the manual a brake bypass sequence? Its something rediculous like

(you wire a switch to ground)
switch off - turn ign on - switch on and off 3 times, then on..then in a few seconds it shows up. Takes forever to get to actualy work.

I know you can use a pucle generator, but all of the previous jensen models you could enter a code via the remote and actually turn the brake bypass off for good.

I am sure there has to be one for this new model, I just haven't figured it out yet...

Not sure if anyone still needs this. But I found another method that worked for me. The unit I bought is the VM9411X.

-----
Start playing DVD and look at the pretty blue screen

Pick up remote
hit STOP twice
punch in 1,2,6, and 4
hit DOWN 1 time not 2
hit PLAY/ENTER
**at this point the display became visible and i could now see the menu which made it much easier.
hit DOWN one more time to change macrovision
hit PLAY/ENTER
hit SYS SETUP twice to save and exit menu
VOILA!! I can now watch whatever my wife wants to watch.

You could always try the proven method of wiring a "SPDT Momentary Normally closed push-button switch" to ground and press it 2-3 times.

hmm. Kind of a downer. I've had quite a few of the Jensen units (pre this model). I really don't remember the model# of the last one before this model, and I don't want to look it up... but on those units it was simply wiring the brake ground to any ground. Now there are codes and such, big downer.

try this one, it's a little different:

Hit Setup On Remote.
Select Language.
Get Remote And Hit 5,4,3,2,1,0.
Listen For Beeps. Touch “Hammer/Screwdriver” Logo.
Select Brake Override
Switch To Brake Override “ON”
Now Hit Setup On Remote.
And Now Watch Movies.
