My VIS trunk is wayyy off, anyone elses?

Hey guys my first post here just kinda been a lurker. Well I went wingless and ordered a VIS trunk thru Project Import. When I tried to install it, it was so off but I figured well it just needs to be adjusted. So i let them install it and even they had a hard time doing it. Even still my trunk sits up on the driver side and barely latches with spacers on the latch. I have to close it all weird. Not to mention the only reason it even sits the way it does is because the stops on the passenger side are offsetting it. Anyone else get this with VIS? I tried to e-mail them and see if there was anything I could do. I just dont think it should have been THIS far off from what I see with all kinds of others. Or should I just go back to the shop and have them contact VIS. They picked it up directly from them. Any opinion is appreciated.

Did you install the torsion springs that hold the trunk up when it's open? If so, they can badly warp CF trunks so try removing them. If not, I'd say get your money back.

I took one of the springs off because I knew having both would be too much stress. I'm gonna call up vis and see if they'll do something if not just gonna have to tell the shop to do something about it because this is ridiculous. Thanks for the advice guys.

That's the cause of your problem - by using only one spring you are twisting the trunk so it doesn't fit. You have to take them both off.
