for all you carpc experts,
for all you carpc experts,
I've been looking into getting a carpc, and the one thing I didn't want is to have the double din, and also relocate my head unit (basically having two head units). I've found a head unit with RCA's in the rear, about 6-8 of them, would i be able to run that head unit with the computer and still have that all hooked up to my speakers? if so how would i go about doing this?
Purchase an amp? with rca's
or anything else?
and should i run the car pc screen off of
1. rca to vga converter
2. straight composite?
any insight would help, let me know if you know another way of doing this?
thanks for all your help in advance

You'll have to use a soundcard that has front rear and sub outputs and you need at least a 4 channel amp for your speakers for the front and rears, and a seperate amp for the sub (if you wanted a sub).
It's best to use a VGA touchscreen unless you plan on using a mouse or some form of control perfipheral (mouse, touchpad). If you were going to use a mouse, its best to use a VGA screen without touch. Usually 7" widescreens fit the best in double din slots. Check out http://www.mp3car.com for a ton of info.
