If you mount it inside, just make sure that your tint is non-metalic. solargard makes both metalic and non-metalic tints. look for "GPS Friendly" on their specs.
I have my GPS, Sirius radio, and traffic/weather antennas mounted on my rear hatch inside the car.

Just a thing to remember, satellite radio antennas on the inside are kind of sketchy. I have found that XM is alot more forgiving with being inside, Sirius tends to have alot more drop offs. They also tend to go bad on the outside of the car also. I have lost count with how many antennas I have had to swap because they go defective after a month. Good luck!

YT diamond. I agree with you on the Sirius's small square antennas, but Sirius has come out with a larger round antena that is much better with the drop offs. I run one on my sport bike and rarely lose reception regardless of lean angle. I have my antenna mounted under the plastic in my tail.
Sirius antennas look at a wider angle of sky so the lean angle won;t really affect it but it would with XM. IT really comes down to where you ive and if there are repeaters nearby.
