Does anyone use the Optima Yellow Top YT S 2.7 in combination with a aftermarket UICP ?

I would stay away from Optima. I have had 3 of their "yellows" and every single one of them failed after about 2-3 years. I live in Ca so it's not like they cook. I stay away from them like the black death! I only use Odessy batteries now. Have had them for 3-4 years with no problems in my truck, Evo and all my bikes. Great product IMHO.

try a "RED" top.... I have had one in my truck and the wifes car for 7 yrs. with NO! problems. The wife even left the dome light on all night twice. Once I finally get my EVO to Germany, I will be installing a "RED" top in the trunk!

Something else I just thought of. If you have a 98471 CCA battery in a veh. that only charges with...... 40 amps, the battery will **** out alot sooner than if you have a 100 amp alternator charging it.
