Remote start on a manual tranny is not a good idea.

Plenty of remote starts to put in..

In a manual, it's fine if you get the right starter.. or don't care :P

I've done a bunch, if you get a manual tranny mode, the most common thing is that you have to arm the car before you shut it off, and it'll arm after you lock the doors.. ie it ensures that your car isn't in gear when you leave it.

Make some phone calls.. expect to pay ~$400-500 for a complete FM pager. Anything else is a waste of time. Plus keep in mind you're going to have to sacrifice a key/get a new one cut.

wrong, there are plenty of autostart systems for manual that are safe, in order for it to work you have to set a reserve, meaning a procedure that you do to tell the car that its not in gear, if you do not do the procedure then the system won't allow it to start as this is considered a safety feature, the two that I am most familiar with, with a great autostart system is compustar and viper.
