Which of these 4 sets of components?

I am finally in the market for a set of good front components for my EVO and was wondering which of these 3, based on what I want out of them, are for me.

I know all 4 of these speakers will have crisp and clear highs, while the JBL's and infinity's will probably have really bright highs, but my real question is which will have the most/best mid bass response? And, which is going to be overall a better speaker, is there a clear cut winner here?

Anyone have anything else comparable or better for under the $150 price range?

Thanks.

Though i agree with throwing out other ideas, the op chose these speakers for a reason. I would go with the bostons, but be prepared, all the choices you selected for the poll are very bright speakers. I recommend turning down the highs with the crossover, or at the EQ on the source. If you have a sub, i wouldn't worry about it too much. But, I love highs, the more the better!

Well - go to a good demo shop and listen to as many as you can. I listened to the JL VRs next to the XRs and ended up going with the XRs. Brought my own music in too - also important. I can't stress enough how much you need to listen to as much of the combo you are looking for. Individual taste + different components = ftw.

Also make sure you get an amp - you'll need it for all those choices.

For midbass the bostons are my choice. The vrs and definately the xrs are very bright Boston has a warmer bassier tone.

I ended up going with the JL's, even though I was very close to picking up a set of DLS MS6A's, I got a lightly used set of VR650-Csi's for 95 shipped! Can't beat that with a stick!
