Hi guys,
I have a Evo 9 SSL. I wanted to change my stock stuff to better ones. I'm not going for competition right now etc but just something that has a nice bump to it. Stocks are getting boring now.
I wanted to know what are some good units that you guys recommend? Or specs that you can give so I can look at other brands that match that spec range.
My radio is set up on the bottom now, I put my gauges on top, and I want to get a flip up unit so are there any that would fit or am I screwed and will have to get a non flip unit? Basically I want one that can play vids
For the amp, I hear that its the worst thing ever! Alot of people told me that neither 4 or 2 amp would work because of the way the amp is so I have to get special ones =/ . Can you guys help on this and let me know what amp you guys got?
For the interior speakers, what do you guys recommend? I was told Pioneer's or Sony but Iono, I want something better (had kinda bad experience from them.
For the sub, I want to use the enclosure that's already there from the factory or maybe get another one that replaces it. This was it looks close to factory as possible. Do they do that?

i have a part out thread of an alpine 4 channel amp that is sick! Also for my speakers i use: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1166234894507 x4 all around the car and they sound great even with the stock headunit.
I just upgraded my IX SSL to an Alpine head unit, DLS 6.5-inch components in front (MS6A), and a pair of Elemental Designs (eD) NINe.2 amps in the trunk. I have a 130-gig iPod connected to the head unit.
One amp is stereo, driving the front components at 100 WPC, 4 Ohms. The other is bridged to mono; 400 watts into 4 Ohms. It will be driving a 110.V3 10" eD sub in the trunk, in a 0.5 CF sealed enclosure. I have it all installed except for the sub (still waiting on the cabinet), and it sounds very nice.
