Probably can. I got the washer in the section with cast-iron and steel fences. Its a black (to match the fence?) washer that is Stainless Steel. If you just go to hardware you wont find the colored ones most likely.

If you put anti seize on the antenna threads, could that improve reception? I'm running the perrin stubby and it has noticeably less reception.

I have the Agency Power one. Quality part, and the gunmetal one is fairly close match for GG-owners.

Just put the stocker back on, cut it, and then sell the Perrin.

anti seize wont inprove reception....it would hurt it. Just spray out the connector hole with isop. alcohol or electrical contact cleaner, wipe it out with a q-tip. Do the same to the new stud going in. Let them dry for about 45 minutes, mabye apply some type-2 cpc (light spray) and install it. Really just cleaning it with alcohol will make a big diff. If you still have bad recep, mabye its your head unit, or connector to head unit, or wiring to antenna? Or your antenna has an internally open wire.

I have the Perrin shorty 2" on my IX and I am happy with it. The radio reception was barely effected.

I bought one from Honda for the Element. Although it looks like the one for the S2000, the part numbers are different. Perfect fit and reception.
