I just got an alarm installed (Viper 5000) and the installer said that i need a different turbo timer. He said that for me to turn on the alarm, i have to wait for the turbo timer to turn off. This can be a pain if i have to wait 2 minutes to turn on the alarm.

So does anyone know which turbo timer works with the alarm?
He said i need to get one that has an extra wire that tells the alarm that the turbo timer is on.

Right now i have the HKS Turbo Timer Type 0.

Any help would be apreciated.

 

that depends how ur installer installs it

u can always lock the car when turbo timer is running anyway , just if ppl broke ur windows in 2 min.s , it wont make a sound

 

in my 337 gti, i had a fatt dc blits and when my turbo timer would come to the end of the count down, my windows would both roll up and the alarm would set itself. people used to freak out over it but i loved not having to worry about doing anything, but turning the key
