i say do a higher wattage bass tube...not to much weight and it wont rattle your wing off, and if you get something like w7s, your back speakers arent gonna last very long...sealed trunk + lots off air bein pushed around = air leaving in weakest spot, hence back speakers gone...

what kind of music do u listen to? If you lean toward rap I would recommend the 12 or 13 for those deep lows. Rock then an 8 or 10 will give u the nice punchy bass your looking for. pm or reply with questions.

JL Audio 250/1
Audio Integrations 12" sub enclosure (1.2 cubic foot)

I am thinking of the JL 12W3V2, 12W3V3, or even the 12W6. I am not looking for a super loud system, just something that is nice and deep at comfortable volume levels. Also, the lighter the better.....
I've got the Audio Integrations enclosure and a JL 12W3v3 waiting to go in. Hopefully in the next couple weeks...

+1 to that. My Diamond Audio D6 sounds louder then many 2 sub combo's. Just make sure to feed the woofer with the proper power and in the proper box and you'll love it. I'd say do 1 12" W7

Mostly rock and heavier stuff. I am leaning towards the 12w3v3.

ive heard with stereos, get what works together so if i dont get type Rs then im getting Xs, and i have type R speakers in my ranger and there nice. but ill take your word, i never had type r subs, so i think ill go with 2 type X 12s, cause i listen to rap and hip hop, or else id get 10s, and il have 2 pdx-1.1000s pushing them, hahaha ill rattle stuff apart, so i might just get one 12, what does anyone think, 1 or 2 Xs

i just put a 8"w6 in my friends car and it hits as hard as my 2 infiniti 12s...w7s are just rediculous you gotta watch rattling your body panels apart with those i always see where the back pilar meets the roof stretched to hell from cars with w7s...but in the end they sound amazing

None - they'll add more weight.

What would anyone recommend to someone who doesn't listen to rap, but hardcore/metal? I just want the kickdrum to punch me in the *****. I don't really need people outside of the car to hear it, but if they do whatever. I had a JL in a powerwedge box in my 3000GT (sold), but that was installed in 2000. I can't remember what the specs on it were. Thanks for any info.
