avic-n1 install on evo help

Hey all , i just purchased an pioneer avic-n1 from a friend and im having trouble installing it. I used it last night in his car before i took it out and it worked fine. I installed it in my car about an hour ago and im having a problem with seeing a picture on screen and i cant use the controls on screen or radio it self. Anyone have any ideas or does anyone have pics of theres or pics of an install? Thanks

you need to explain more do you mean the unit will not even power on? on the N1 the seperate brain is where the power to the system goes through even though your connections are to the actual screen so if that data cable in any way gets damaged it will not allow the head unit itself to power up at all. So if you could explain a little more at all about it please do.

when you open the screen on the top left hand side does it have a blue box that says in white letts OFF? or is the screen just comming out with nothing on the screen at all? where did you mount the external brain? and please make sure you didn't shove that brain anywhere because if you damaged that data cable at all that is what is causing your problem and its not that hard to damage that. let me know
