Recommend a head unit?

All Im looking for is a new hu, I was browsing some alpine/jvc stuff but I dont know whats worth it or not for me. I have a base model evo ix, all I want is a little more sound and be able to play my Zune through it (I see everyone is selling iPod controllers that can scroll through songs through the hu itself, will these also work with my Zune or am I s.o.l.?)

Looking to also get something that lights up reddish to keep the factory look going.

Dont want navi/dvd/screen, just looking to stay single din and cost effective. I only drive the Evo to the track really so I don't need something $300 +

got alpine 9886 - could never get xm radio running with that junk audiovox software so exchanged for pioneer deh-6000ut - this thing is much more user friendly, simpler audio controls, xm was super easy to install, and looks nicer.
