help with electrical

so i think that i blew a fuse but i am unsure if that is the problem or not. The problems that are happening because of it are as follows:
- The key chain lock and unlock buttons do not work
- radio has no power
- clock doesn't work
- interior lights do not work
- no power unless key is turned all the way to the point before you turn it to start it.

im not sure what could be the problem, i got a new headunit and had to cut the stock plug off to wire the new one on. After i did that i decided to keep the stock headunit and brought the new one back. I wired the stock plug back together with the wires. all of the wires are connected together well. I am unsure of what the problem could be besides a blown fuse.

Thank you in advance if anyone has any tips or clues to what might have happened.

Does your radio and stuff turn on when you get power right before you start it?

no. when i put the key in the position before i turn to start it, the power doors will work. but the radio, clock, and interior lights do not work ever, even if the car is started.

So did you check the fuse box or not?

im not sure on which fuse it would be. i started taking some out and they looked ok, but i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else before and if they knew which fuse controlled this problem. also when i put the key in and turn it to ACC (the first click) i have no power at all. so im unsure of what the problem is.

I would start by rechecking that stock plug you cut off and making sure all the wires are connected where they're supposed to be. I can't remember if there is one or not, but make sure the radio ground strap is connected. You could have blown the radio fuse and whatever fuse (if any) that has to do with the dimming when you turn the headlights on, which could explain why the clock doesn't work. As far as the other stuff, I don't know. If it appears that all your connections are good then try cutting the plug back off and see if anything/everything works again. It's possible you grounded something out/shorted something out that, while it may not have blown a fuse, will cause stuff not to work. There's a fuse for the radio under the hood and one under the dash. Maybe check one of the fuses right there at the battery terminal.

I don't know how electrically competent you are, but you might try rigging a power source to each of the accessory wires coming out of the ignition switch. This might possibly be an issue. There are 2 accessory wires (blue/black and blue/white). One of those might not be getting power somehow.

Do you have a multimeter?

Check for voltage at the fuses for all the things that don't work. If you look at the top of the fuse by the number you'll see a little metal point on either side of the numbers. You can check there. Basically red lead to one of those points on the fuse, black lead to ground. If you happen to not have voltage at any of them. I'd take your steering column apart and check for voltage on your accessory wires with the key on. You'll either have to strip a little piece of wire or jab the lead into the plug where the wire goes into. I usually use a razor knife to slice a little sliver of rubber off the wire exposing just enough copper to take a reading, then tape it up when I'm done. It takes away the risk of possibly messing up your plug.
