Did some LED footwell lighting yesterday.. (Pics inside)

So I decided to install some LED footwell lighting underneath the dash and also behind the front seats. Here are the photos taken at night without flash.

Here is the switch install...

I'm really happy with how they came out. I have it wired with the switch to the cigarette lighter wire. This way in order for them to be on both the switch must be on, and the parking lights must be on. (who would want them on during the day right? Also - I wanted the ability to turn them off if i felt like it)

Comments welcome - Soon the rest of the dash with be LED white via a farmers conversion.

its pretty cool. I'm on the fence about it being ricey or not, but def leading towards the NON rice side.

PS: what would be really cool, is if they came on when you opened the doors and closed when you opened them, and still only came on if the parking lights were on. THAT my friend, would be cool. Because then it almost looks OEM, like they're interior lights to get into the car. Then you turn off the factory ceiling light and just have those come on at night when you open the door. actually, u dont even need to make them only be powered with the parking light, just make them come on when the doors open

I know how to do what your asking about, but I prefer switched operation. I have super bright custom made LED maplights and LED domelights that come on like stock does. They are that blueish white shade, and it would look stupid mixing with the red. I don't mind being 'ricey' one bit...

Yup..It looks really good. Good job doing what you like to your own car. I think the anti-rice movement has gone a bit overboard. It seems like the moment somebody does something different, unique or creative...it is attacked for being rice.

Less seriousness...more FUN

I like it. Seems a bit bright but nice. Any info on the maplight and dome light conversion or the exterior LED conversion?

You must really like LED's. I kinda like it, seems alittle too bright, but you can't always tell by pictures. Great work, I was thinking of doing something similar because the cockpit seems a little to dark sometimes at night.

I'm going to do in the door pockets, behind the door handles, and in the door grab areas.

You wont be able to see the LED's, just the glow.
