Need Help with Eletrical Problem

Ok, I have been running w/out the radio for awhile due to I installed the gauges to where the radio used to be located. I know I should remove the negative battery terminal first but I didn't. It worked before I screwed everything back on. Now that everything is put back together, the security system or power door lock, dome light, map light, radio, and gauges are not powering on. Did I messed something up? Like the Immobilization??? I haven't tried to drive the car yet but it turns on though. Please help me asap. Gotta go to work in 2 hours

I checked all the fuses and they are fine. So I'm guessing it's the immobilization

I also would think the fuses is where the problem is, but it could be a bad ground where you connected them for the gauges. Check all the fuses, stereo, Power windows, everything that is busted or not working.

Other than that it could be a bare wire touching somthing and grounding out. Slight chance of this but still a possiblity.

Wrong! I wanted a spare key so I went to Ace Hardware. With this key in the ignition I started the engine and was almost to the street before it shut off.

If the immobilizer is tripped, the engine will not start. It will crank over, but not start. also not the problem of the OP because you can still have power for acc.

I don't know what you guys are doing wrong, because I've been doing car audio for years and have never disconnected the battery and have never had any problems. I'm not trying to sound like an *******, I'm just curious what you guys did.

Evolninja----you say your car starts? If it starts, its not the immobilizer. And if it was the immobilizer, there is a dummy light for it on your dash...you would see that it was kicked on. You need to pull the dash back off and check the wiring...if all worked as intended before you put it back together, something got messed up when you screwed it all down.

evoDON----have you checked your fuses? Sounds like you blew 1 or 2 some how.
